About Stephen Griffith

Career & Education

Stephen Griffin began his medical career as an EMT / Paramedic and ski patrolman at Taos Ski Valley, New Mexico in 1985. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Western State College, Colorado in 1983 and then completed the Physician Assistant program at Stanford University School of Medicine in 1997.

Stephen is currently Board Certified with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, as well as the Texas Medical Board. Stephen has ample experience as a provider, with 24 years specializing in orthopedics and surgery. His specialties include joint replacements, upper and lower extremity injury and disorders, interventional therapeutic procedures, and injections.

He is passionate about forming provider-patient relationships and building a connection to help treat any orthopedic condition that his patients experience.

Personal Story

Stephen is originally from Boulder, Colorado and moved to Austin in 2008 with his wife and 3 children. He attends Austin Christian Fellowship and in his spare time enjoys hiking, boating, skiing, travel and activities with his family.
